ABC are an English new wave band from Sheffield with singer Martin Fry, who in the 1980s was successful.

ABC scored hits with The Look of LovePoison Arrow and All of my Heart " from the album The Lexicon of Love (1982). Producer Trevor Horn (Sealt.A.T.u.Frankie Goes to Hollywood). Afterwards, the cooperation with Horn broken and appeared in 1983 the second album Beauty Stab with the hit That was then, but this is now about the cold war.

In 1987 scored the last big hit with ABC When Smokey sings (1987), a tribute to soul singer Smokey Robinson that the duo returned to group came across in the Toppop-studio.

In 1990, the Absolutely hitverzamelaar released, but ABC has since been overtaken by music styles like house , and because Mark White all the way from image disappears leaving only Martin Fry about. Also the cd from 19997 Skyscraping is no success.

The music channel VH-1 competed in an attempt to the Lexicon of Love-occupation to get together for a one-off reunion concert. Steve Singleton and Mark White wanted to play no part in it; David Palmer, Rod Stewartdrummer since 1990 fixed, does have said yes. For this concert was Kajagoogoobassist Nick Beggs, and also the other members come from 80 's-groups that ABC on Oldies Music-festivals occurs.
