"After you've Gone"is a popular song which in 1918 was composed by Turner Layton, with lyrics by Henry Creamer. It was recorded by Marion Harris on 22 July 1918 and released by the record label Victor. It is the basis for many other jazz numbers, because there are so may well be on improvised. It is also the theme song for the BBC sitcom After you've Gone.
