Arms of Mary, also known as Lying in the Arms of Mary, is the only single by Sutherland Brothers and Quiver, which had success in Netherlands. The number comes from the album Reach for the Sky, which was released in 1975 . Arms became a hit in the late summer of 1976 and ascended several charts in Europe. In the Netherlandstook first place in the Top 40 (3 weeks) and the National Charts (4 weeks). It remained a one-hit wonder for the band, although writer Iain Sutherland had success even though an earlier (hidden); He was author of Rod Stewart 's Sailing.

The classic rock ballad is in the middle regions of the Top 2000, it's a love song about a (imaginary?) girlfriend of Iain. B-side was in We get along, sometimes Secretsdepending on the country of pressing.
