  • A remixed version of the song can be heard in the video game Crackdown 2.
  • Bad Moon Rising is covered by at least 20 artists, including Jerry Lee Lewis (1973), Emmylou Harris (1981), the Reels (1986) and The Blue Aeroplanes (1995).
  • The phrase "there's a bad moon on the rise" in the chorus is often misheard as "there's a bathroom on the right". Fogerty looked the humor of in and has live instant alternative text Sung. This can be heard on his live album Premonition (1998).
