Review:

I’m sure you know Mix Master Mike already as the “DJ” on the Beastie Boys infamous Three MCs and One DJ. But did you also know that Michael Schwartz is a world-renown DJ and part of one of the most acclaimed DJ collectives of this era, the Invisibl Skratch Piklz? Bangzilla is the Mix Master’s 4th full length in 4 years and is exactly what you expect it to be; 40 minutes of turntable wizardry, heavy in change-ups and sound effects. Every song starts off with a sampled voice of some kind followed by usually 3 minutes of scratchtastic hip-hop atmospheres. An intriguing listen, but only for the first few times. Michael Ardaiolo
