Beat Connection is an electronic band founded and based in Seattle, Washington. The band formed in 2008 by Reed Juenger and Jordan Koplowitz who met as students at the University of Washington. The pair produced the group's first extended play, Surf Noir, self-released in 2010 and re-issued by Tender Age Records in 2011. In 2011, the band added vocalist Tom Eddy, drummer Jarred Katz, and bassist Mark Hunter to their lineup. Their debut album, The Palace Garden was released in 2012 to critical acclaim.

History Edit

Beat Connection began as the project of friends, Reed Juenger and Jordan Koplowitz, after bonding over their mutual interest in DJing and electronic music. The band self-produced and self-released their debut extended play, Surf Noir in 2010, featuring future-member Tom Eddy on vocals. The Moshi Moshi Records imprint Tender Age reissued the extended play the following year to generally positive reviews.

The band recorded their debut album, The Palace Garden in 2011, enlisting Tom Eddy on vocals. Two other members, Jarred Katz and Mark Hunter were added as live members. The Palace Garden was released on August 14, 2012, following the release of singles, The Palace Garden, 4am, Further Out, and Think/Feel.

Jordan Koplowitz left the band in 2013.
