[edit] Band Biography
Björk is a bit of an odd case, as, particularly in more recent years, she's been doing more aggressively experimental music, and yet she's still famous in the mainstream music scene. Even her early singles which won her that fame, however, were pretty different than the rest of the pop music landscape and were doing some really different, interesting, complicated things (the different-key-bassline in "Human Behaviour", her first solo hit single, for example). She's done acting and all sorts of other stuff. Her first big band was The Sugarcubes (which basically sounded like Björk as applied to Rock music), though she'd been in many other bands prior, from genres to punk to Jazz. After her last proper album Medúlla, which was comprised almost solely of vocal samples, and her recent appearance in her husband's new film, she's learning to sail and go on a world-spanning trip.
