Boys Don't Cry "is a song by the pop group The Cure. The track is from the album Boys Don't Cry. The single was issued in 1980 and reissued in 1986 . In 1986, scored a modest hit with it there.

The single also includes a striking video clip. In the clip is suggested that three young boys play the music of The Cure . The shadows of the boys are the shadows of the members of The Cure.

The song was written by Robert Smith , Michael Dempseyand lol Tolhurst. The song tells a story about a man who is in front of his girlfriend has misbehaved and now repents. However, it is too late and crying is not an option, because boys after all not hear to cry. There is a slight irony in the phrase Boys Don't Cry. If it's a true story, is not known.
