"Castles in the Sand"is a song by Stevie Wonder. It was written by Hal DavisMarc Gordon, Mary Margaret O'Brien and Frank Wilson. The music was with The Funk Brothers in 1964 in Los Angeles included. [2[3Tamla Records gave it on 15 January 1964 as single , with the b-side "Thank You (For Loving Me All the Way)". Wonder reached there in april that year the 52nd place in the u.s. singles chart with it. [4"Castles in the Sand" is the last single from the period in which Wonder still ' Little Stevie Wonder ' was mentioned. [1]

In the beginning and in the background of the sensitive ballad "Castles in the Sand" are typical Beach hear sounds, such as waves and seagulls. The song (plus an instrumental version) appeared also in June 1964 on the album Stevie at the Beach. This album has the Beach theme, like the movies Muscle Beach Party Bikini Beachand where to see Wonder in that year was.
