Album: Zoo: Uncaged 1978-1982
Appears On (Mixes): Aila's Mp3 Of The Week
Song Notes: Hearing this song, it's easy to see why Big In Japan were so despised as a band. So much so that there was an "Anti Big In Japan" club formed in Liverpool during the band's heydey, who managed to get 2000 signatures of people urging the band to quit! They did, although I'm not sure it had anything to do with the petition, and only released 6 songs commercially (5 of which are available on the Zoo Records label cd compilation "Zoo: Uncaged 1978-1982"). It's actually not a terrible song, probably the most pop of any of the stuff of theirs I've heard, but they go and ruin it with inexplicable sped-up "Chipmunks" style backing vocals. Sort of entertaining in its own way, but not something you'd neccessarily want to listen to more than a few times. Matt seems to think this is a great song, but then again he loves mc chris and Half Japanese, neither of whom I can stand, so there you go! - Ailas
