Cory Legendre is a singer-songwriter, radio show host, award winning talk show producer, published author and online streamer/content creator.

Early Life[]

Cory Legendre (born Corwin Anthony Legendre, November 23, 1992) is a young American singer, author and radio show host. He was born in Augusta, Maine, and since after his birth, he has lived with his family in the small town of Richmond, Maine. He has said that he "..would spend a week or two in a city, maybe, but never live in one for a long time..." and of course, he has also said, "...I like the atmosphere in the small town of Richmond.." Ever since Cory was young, he had wanted to be the star, and had always entertained friends and family whenever possible, which many believe that if he hadn't done that then - he wouldn't be doing it now.

Early Career[]

Cory Legendre started his career young, thanks to what he still claims is a "lucky break," but he is proud of what he has accomplished. After a few small venue performances, it was decided that Cory Legendre should produce an album and a tour. Cryin' Over Me was the first release, following two demo CDs that Cory himself decided to not release. This album lead to a few promotional performances before the label decided to take the show on the road for a short run.

Trying to change his image, Cory worked with a producer and booked a couple of shows for charities formed around rock music, which after those performances led to a single release of "I'm No Angel/Highway to Hell" which is deemed as the worst recording in Cory Legendre's whole career, even by himself. After the promotional run for his album and the single, which was very successful for Cory Legendre, it was also extremely overwhelming and he had decided to take a break following the shows for the single.

During this time, Cory Legendre started producing and hosting radio shows with Kat Vecchione, White Rose and a few other personalities. His young innocent-trying-not-to-be personality landed him on the Buffman and Wrench show as their "teen relationship advisor" a few times, and interviews with many other shows, just to hear what shocking things he would say.

Due to the success of these appearences, a pet project, Cory Live, was returned to radio, but with a new set of cohosts and was titled Cory Live's Radio Bedroom. This show lasted it's first couple of seasons before he took a break to produce other shows again, including NTL Rock Radio (hosted by Cory Legendre & Heidi "the Leopardlady") and Serious Business...and not so serious (produced for and hosted by his mother "Mainely" Loie Legendre). NTL Rock Radio was a huge success, and Cory Legendre was positioned on the show as the young co-host who the bands loved to fool with and try and "freak out" with their stories. Cory stayed on this show for most of it's run, until he decided he wanted to work on other projects and stepped down to only co-producing the show he'd created.

After the success of NTL Rock Radio and Serious Business, Cory Legendre decided to return to his place on Cory Live's Radio Bedroom and host his show as well as keep a hosting position on the show he had produced for his mother.

He stayed on until the end of the last season of Radio Bedroom when he decided to take a break and focus on exclusively hosting Serious Business with his mother. Staying exclusive to one show didn't last once both Cory and his mother got picked up and hosted the first season of Maine Ghost Hunters' Radio Show. They left behind MGH after that season and went back to full-time hosting and production of Serious Business. Serious Business stayed on air until Loie's oldest son (Cory's brother) passed away in July 2010.

After the family tragedy, Loie Legendre decided to stop broadcasting new episodes of Serious Business "until further notice," and at the same time, Cory decided to not come back for the next season of Radio Bedroom with him saying "Radio Bedroom may be over." Another host was hired to take Cory's place on Radio Bedroom, but after a private meeting with previous co-hosts, they felt that was not acceptable and the deal was canceled. Serious Business never returned to radio after it's cancelation. Cory Live's Radio Bedroom did a new pilot episode with one of the previous cohosts along with new panelists later in that year, but it was quickly removed and the show was marked as "canceled."

Career Hiatus (October 2010 - September 2012)[]

After the failed "new format" episode for the return of Cory Live's Radio Bedroom, Cory Legendre went into what many thought would be a permanent retirement for the star. The only place anyone heard anything from him was through Twitter. His personal life tanked for a while, including a couple relationships which he tried to hide from the media but was unable to. All of the radio shows that Cory Legendre had produced had been handed over to other producers and shows that he held a space as a panelist on marked his position up for replacement.

Cory Legendre had joked about coming back early in 2012 on social media, but when asked, he quickly denied that anything was in the works. In March of 2012, Cory's father, Walter Legendre, passed away at the Togus VA Hospital, and that was marked as the hardest moment in the singer's life and he strayed away from even social media for awhile, leading a closed life and taking time to take care of himself and the rest of his family.

In a later interview, Cory Legendre admitted that he took the break because he was "needed to take care of family" and that he had a "lot to think about" in his personal life. No one knew what was going on and Cory worked his hardest to keep private, with the exception of what he felt was necessary to share with the world through social media.

Launch of Itsyourradio & Return to Production (Late 2012 - Early 2013)[]

Cory Legendre was pressured to come back by Kat Vecchione and he finally gave in. Cory Legendre stated that he didn't want to host full-time, but wanted to work with other shows, so he worked with Kat and a few other hosts to launch Itsyourradio, a radio station promising great interactivity between the hosts and listeners. It launched on November 3rd with a broadcast of World Talk Rock Report hosted by Kat and Cory to a decent audience, but only received average reviews. Cory Legendre stayed on this show and also worked with producing shows for other hosts for the network, until he stepped back only a couple months later to let other hosts and producers take over.

This gave Cory a break after admitting to the world that the stress of the launch and promotion was extremely hard on him and that he needed a break. He did make a couple appearances and helped produce a short-lived show This Generation which he appointed his friend Everett Perry as the DJ and host. Cory did revisit the theme of Radio Bedroom for one night on this show and that episode of This Generation received extremely high reviews. He followed up the station's lineup by recruiting Andrew Kaplan for On Air with Andrew K, Andrew Giordano for YoAndrew and Hit Talkers, Brian Sendek and a crew of panelists for The Royal Ramble, and a team of baseball fans for a show called Stitches.

Cory Legendre was occupied in a relationship that was highly publicized as one of his worst mistakes, solely because it separated him from his career. The only career benefit of this relationship was a couple of product sponsorships after rants between the two of them (@Meghanh92 & @corylegendre) on Twitter. After a year with many struggles, the two separated and Cory Legendre decided it was time to finally return to the industry as planned.

The "allornothing" era (2013 - Mid 2015)[]

Cory Legendre had taken on quite a following on Twitter and was known for the attitude he portrayed to the public, although he was friendly to his fans and followers, he did have an attitude that went with the personality he had created for himself back when hosting Radio Bedroom. On an interview with Brett Cohen in the early fall of 2013, Cory Legendre dodged the subject of coming back to music, but between that interview and a couple others, had said that he had spent time in a rehearsal studio and was working on some material that he was very interested in performing if a show did happen.

On November 2nd, 2013, Cory Legendre dropped the news on Twitter with a simple tweet saying "It's time." and linking to a coming soon page for his new stage show, titled allornothing. The details that were shared included that the music and scores were to be produced by CMDT and that the costumes were to be made by New England designers Terri Moore-Herard and Terri Parker. A few photos were posted to Instagram of work-in-progress shots from costume fittings and rehearsals. The show was slated to launch sometime in 2014.

On January 4th, 2014, the official announcement was made that as promotion for Cory Legendre's new stage show and other events hosted by the singer, it was announced via his Facebook page and official website that all of his tweets from 2013 would be published into a book. This book includes Cory Legendre's stats for the year on Twitter, a few pictures, some of which are either not still available or were never public on the internet, and additional commentary explaining what was said on Twitter. This announcement did not come as a surprise to anyone who followed him on Twitter, due to the announcement being leaked in a tweet by his then-girlfriend Abby on December 30th. The book became available for sale on January 10th, 2014 in Kindle and Paperback editions. Hidden in this book are a couple pieces of commentary that have given away Cory Legendre's other career plans for 2014 and the future.

Rehearsals started for allornothingtour at the end of January of 2014 and the entertainer did a two-night showing of a stripped down version of the show at the Great Scott in the Boston area (Allston), Massachusetts in preparation for the tour at the beginning of February. The stripped down version of the show only featured 3 costume changes up against the known 7 changes planned for the full tour and there were also no stage or set changes during this stripped show. A few of the dance-pop & rock songs were even stripped down to acoustic versions with each night the acoustic guitar being played by a different local musician.

After the second night of the stripped down show, the full list of tour dates went live on the tour website, and was slated to have 37 dates across the United States at concert halls, ending with two shows at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland, Maine and ending at the Darling's Waterfront Pavilion (now the Maine Savings Amphitheater) in Bangor, Maine. The tour dates announced spanned from May through July of 2014. During a rehearsal two days before the tour was to begin, the entertainer collapsed on stage and was rushed to the hospital for treatment for undisclosed stomach issues. All shows were postponed and scheduled to resume in July and run through September of 2014. In June 2014, his management team issued a press release covering that all dates of allornothingtour would be canceled and tickets would be refunded "as Cory worked on his health and continued recovery from medical issues."

Cory avoided speaking about the cancelation of the tour except for a couple short social media posts apologizing to fans for not being able to hold the commitment to the tour that he "envisioned as his greatest creation ever" and made sure the world knew that he would continue fighting his medical battle and be "back on the road again in no time." Towards the end of 2014, he performed the acoustic set from the cancelled tour live at two different charity events, but did not announce any tour or performance dates.

In early 2015, the success of Cory Legendre's following on social media and the sales of the book of tweets - it was followed up with a second edition in 2015 covering all of his tweets from 2014. At the same time, there was a lot of talk about a cookbook being published, taking photos from Cory's Instagram profile as well as few photos that haven't been published, and combining it with family stories and recipes from friends, family and restaurants that Cory frequently visited. There was never a confirmed date for this project, but has been mentioned a few times through various outlets over the years.

Return to Radio (Late 2015)[]

After a few years away from hosting radio, thenightshow was announced in November of 2015. Cory kicked off the first episode of the series at the end of November 2015, featuring a similar format to his first radio show, but with more "adult themes" to adapt to the fact that he had grown up alongside his listeners. This included the "drink of the night" which was a classic Margarita for the opening show, Cory's favorite alcoholic drink.

This show ran through the end of 2015 in which he had told viewers that he would "see them again soon" after the Christmas special aired. Cory Legendre and his team decided to cancel thenightshow at the end of December 2015 to focus more on producing shows for other hosts.

IYR Revival and Early Political Career (2016 - 2019)[]

Cory held true to his promise and consistently produced content for other hosts on itsyourradio from the beginning of 2016 through early 2019. A few guest appearances were made on the shows that he produced but he claimed he had no interest in returning to hosting again at the time.

In 2018, Cory Legendre prepared and filed for a congressional run and launched the "Cory For America" campaign with a viewpoint that leaders would have to lead with love, compassion and empathy if America was going to be able to saved. He campaigned on universal healthcare, universal basic income and solidifying equal rights for all to be written into law in a way that it could never be changed or contested. His belief of making this possible meant making a permanent amendment to the Constitution.

Medical Issues and End of Political Campaign (2019-2020)[]

In October 2019, Cory Legendre suffered congestive heart failure and was unsure if he would recuperate to continue his political campaign. Despite the medical issues, he kept pushing for political advocacy and did not concede the campaign until 2020 when it was realized "health must come first" if he wanted to be able to "lead the nation by introducing groundbreaking policy changes and laws that would give everyone the American Dream they truly deserved." He later created a video endorsing Joe Biden for President in the final stretch of effort to "take toxicity out of the White House" by defeating Donald Trump.

He stayed active throughout 2020 in pushing for human rights, stimulus checks and other programs that would benefit Americans, and even laid out his own COVID-19 response plan that he believed was the right path for American leadership to take to solve the financial crisis caused by the pandemic.

Online Streaming (2019-present)[]

Cory Legendre had signed a deal with Mixer to do two one-off streams for an undisclosed amount of money, and later signed a deal to become Mixer Partner with a monthly salary. Mixer's closure in 2020 was a devastating loss for the entertainer-turned-streamer as it had become his only income besides residuals on book sales after suffering from heart failure. Cory as a streamer was not honored a contract with Facebook Gaming as promised by Mixer during the transitional phase and moved to Twitch, only to find toxicity towards incoming Mixer Partners. After this, he bounced between YouTube and Trovo, making YouTube Partner in the process and later landing a spot as a verified streamer on Kick Streaming.

LMI CEO & New Music (2023-present)[]

After the passing of his mother, Lois Legendre, in August of 2023, Cory Legendre took time to honor her memory and legacy with various charitable donations and events. The decades-long battle that they both fought to regain rights to Legendre Media Inc. and its properties was finally won by Cory Legendre in October of 2023, allowing him to take over the publishing and music label licenses held by the company to make new projects possible. Cory was unanimously voted in as the new CEO of LMI by the board of directors. His first project was the At-Home Artist coloring book series, the dream series by Lois Legendre that was never given a chance by the previous leadership at LMI.

In December 2023, Cory Legendre released his first studio recording in near a decade, an original Christmas single called an "instant Christmas classic" by reviewers, Presents for Everyone (On Christmas Eve). The initial announcement post made a huge stir on social media, with over 2.5M impressions and interactions with the tweet on X (Twitter). Subsequent posts about the release have also garnered 1M+ impressions each.

Cory Legendre has stated very clearly that his next big project is an album dedicated to his mom and dad, telling the story of how Dad's passing in 2012 affected Mom through telling about how Mom's passing affected him, then ending on a more peaceful message of the fact that when we pass away, we get to go home to those we love again too. No album title or release date beyond "2024" has been publicized yet.

Personal Life & Relationships[]

Cory Legendre always tried to keep his relationships private, with the exceptions of his publicized relationships with Meghan Hatadis and Abby Ulmer. Cory Legendre had connected with Kloe James, a long-term online friend he had met online through Cher's community. When they later met in person, in 2017, they decided to make their relationship official with social media fanfare. They are still together as of 2023 and reside in Kloe's home state of Texas, and stream together as rununtilyoufly on Kick as well as work on other business projects together. The passing of his mother, Lois Legendre, in August of 2023 has affected him emotionally, which he has spoken about on social media platforms and has requested that people respect his privacy in mourning.
