Cosmic Gate is a german Trance duo founded in 1997 consisting of Claus Terhoeven and Stefan Bossems.

History Edit

Both met in 1997 at the office rooms of X-IT Records in Cologne and so they founded the duo Cosmic Gate. Their first release ever was The Drums released on May 31, 1999 in Germany. From this moment on they released an awesome number of single releases, such as Back To Earth, Fire Wire, Analog Feel or their commercially most successful single release ever Somewhere Over The Rainbow, a Judy Garland cover. In more than 10 years of producing, they changed their sound from Hard Trance to Progressive / Uplifting Trance which also reflects the duo's DJ sets

Meaning in Trance genre Edit

Cosmic Gate are well-known in Trance music, became famous by their number of singles and their DJ sets worldwide. The online sheet "The DJ List" have charted them on #23 of the most famous DJ's in the world and the DJ Mag Top 100 listed them for three years.
