[edit] Band Biography
Crispin Glover is primarily known as an actor, but in 1989, he recorded an album with Barnes & Barnes, The Big Problem ≠ The Solution. The Solution = Let It Be. The album was a collection of songs and spoken word readings from his books (created by taking Victorian-era books and drawing over them and rewriting them. There were some fights over the recording of the album -- Art Barnes (Bill Mumy) objected to the recording of "Never Say Never To Always", written by Charles Manson, and apparently Crispin Glover was constantly changing his mind over what should be included. A follow-up was partially recorded by just Artie Barnes (Robert Haimer), although it was never finished, and the tapes have deteriorated to a point where they can no longer be remixed. Marilyn Manson expressed interest in helping finish and releasing the album, but the plans fell through. Crispin and Artie Barnes did record "Ben" for the film Willard, though.
