Life and career[Edit][]
Brenda Gayle Webb was born as the youngest of 8 children of Melvin "Ted" Webb (1906-1959) and Clara Marie Ramey (1912-1981) in Paintsville, Kentucky. She moved on her 4th to Wabash, Indiana. Her example was her older sister, singer Loretta Lynn. The first single from Gayle was also written by Lynn. They devoted himself to country music. Her best known hit, however, was a sweet pop song: Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue from 1977. However, she could never repeat this hit success.
