Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich (DDDBM & T) was an English pop group, which in the sixties of the 20th century a number of hits, including "The legend of Xanadu, in1968 a number one hit in the United Kingdom.

Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich consisted of:

They performed since 1961 on as a group under different names, whose penultimate ' Dave Dee and The Bostons ' was. In Germany (Star Club) and England they performed, but success remained for the time being. Until they were in the summer of 1964 as ' supporting act ' of the Honeycombs, who had a hit with Have I The Right .

The managers of the HoneycombsKen Howard and Alan Blaikley, saw a performance by Dave Dee & The Boston and were very excited. A record deal was signed and Howard & compose the songs went Blaikley.With their first hit You make it move they scored at the end of 1965 a modest listing (# 26) in the British charts. The period 1966-1968 , however, was very successful. Hits like Bend itSave meOkayZabadakThe legend Of Xanadu and Last night in Soho all reached the UK top 10. Although the Group In the United States came not from the ground, but in Germany they were at some point even more popular than the Beatles.

In september 1969 the Group Dave Dee left and tried it with a solo career. Only his single My woman's man from 1970 got some attention. In that same year scored Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich (without Dave Dee) as DBM & T with Tonight today one last hit. In 1972 the group apart.

In the 1980s joined Dave Dee with the Scottish group the Marmalade on.

The band made a new start in the 1980s as oldies-act and toured repeatedly. So they would on 13 december 2008 action at the Sports Palace in Antwerp. However, just before the departure on a London airfield was Dave Dee unwell and was immediately transported to a hospital. The remaining band members have performed on the absent Dave Dee and got a standing ovation.

Dave Dee (67) passed away on January 9, 2009. He was ill for several years.
