[edit] Genre Description
Electroclash is often more about posture than music. Often, the vocals are delivered in a detached, flat tone over highly electronic music, though often with relatively sparse arrangements. Lyrics can be dark, but are often aggressively sexual, often from a female vocalist. A lot of electroclash seems based on the Top Ten album by The Flying Lizards, though with a different point and with less irony, although some acts like Ladytron and Felix Da Housecat tend to extend themselves a bit farther. Electroclash has a lot in common with various flavors of Dance music, as well as electropop, disco and new wave.
