Emile Berliner (Hannover, 1851 - May 20, Washington D.C., August 3, 1929) was a German-American electrical engineer and inventor of Jewishdescent.
He emigrated to the United States in 1870 and came right there at the Bell Telephone Company . There he developed the sound reproduction technique considerably by both Edison's phonograph as his microphone to improve.
The fonograafrol he replaced by a flat plate with grooves in spiral shape, so that the sound waves no longer vertically but horizontally in the so-called Berliner Scripture were recorded. Also he found more suitable material for the plates, namely a zinc plate covered with wax.
