"1999" is a song recorded by American singer-songwriter Prince. The song was released on September 24, 1982 as the title track from his fifth studio album of the same name.

In January 1995, "1999" was re-released as a 12" single in the US with "Little Red Corvette" as the B-side, and "How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore?"/"D.M.S.R." as two B-sides in the UK. The song was re-released once again in late 1998 to accompany the song's namesake year.
