My Morning Jacket is an American alternative rock band. They began in 1998 when frontman Jim James got some musicians together in Louisville, Kentucky. At the time, many of the members were the current members of the punk band Winter Death Club.
History[]
In 2003, My Morning Jacket released their first major record label debut, It Still Moves. In 2005 the band was featured under the name Ruckus in the 2005 film, Elizabethtown. In 2006 the band was featured on the Late Show with David Letterman. They were musical guests on Saturday Night Live in 2008. Their now-popular album, Circuital was released in 2010.
