Bedouin Soundclash is a band formed and based in Toronto, Ontario. Their music can be described as a mixture of Reggae and Ska.
Biography[]
The Band originally met while attending Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. While in one of their early practices it was noted that the Band sounded like a dub record by an artist named Badawi and that is how Bedouin Soundclash received its name. Bedouin Soundclash released their debut album in 2001 named Root Fire. The band then released its second album Sounding a Mosiac. During the recording of that album, the band grew much closer to its producer Darryl Jenifer or Bad Brains. The album's single, When the Night Feels My Song charted as #1 on Canadian Radio 102.1 FM. The Band the released their third album Street Gospels. In January of 2009 drummer Pat Pengelly left the band to pursue future opportunities.
