Take The Capital is a rock band based out of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

History[]

The band originally formed as Breathe In. Asphyxiate, featuring former SlowMotionNoise members, David Gauthier (drums), Sean Sheridan (vocals/guitar), and Kristin Cavarzan (bass). After a short period of time, Kristin left the band to pursue school, while Sean and David continued the band.

Later in 2011, Andrew Shaw joined the band as vocalist, bringing along bassist Eirk Klyve. Because of a change in the band's sound and new members, the band changed the name to Take The Capital, after the lyrics in their song Tear Gas and Tambourines.

In the summer of 2012, Erik left the band due to creative differences. Later that year, the band disbanded and reformed with a new sound as Father Figure.

The band announced plans to reform, with some member changes, in 2018. No music has been released since.
