Frank Farian, born as Franz Reuther (Kirn18 July 1941) is a German music producer, singer and songwriter. He grew up near American military bases which he found an audience for his soulperformances.

He is the founder of a series of pop acts, whose EruptionBoney MMilli Vanilli Gilla and the famous ones. He scored hit after hit with Boney M, especially in Europe, among other things, ' Daddy Cool ' Ma Baker ', ' Sunny ', ' Rivers of Babylon "and" Brown Girl in the Ring ". Frank Farian is also the producer of I Just Called to Say I Love You, by Stevie Wonder. In 1976, he scored a hit as a singer with the song Rocky. This was a hit In Netherlands in the version of Don Mercedes, in Flanders in the version of Paul Severs.

In 1990 there was a scandal when it was found that the hits of Milli Vanilli not by the performers themselves, but were rerecorded by some studio artists; These tried itself later yet to score as The Real Milli Vanilli. Later groups that Farian was successful, Far Corporation, were No Mercy and La Bouche.
