Weldon Leo "Jack" Teagarden (Vernon1905 – August 20, New OrleansJanuary 15, 1964) was an American jazztrombonist.

He grew up in a musical family, his father played Cornet, his mother with whom he played pianoas a teenager many occurred. In his life he has with many artists, most prominent are Glenn Miller , Benny Goodmanand Louis Armstrong. He played with last mentioned in his all-stars band. He formed after a few years to have played at Armstrong, his own All Stars Dixieland band. Teagarden was one of the first white jazz musicians that was used in combination with black artists and recordings made.

As one of the best jazz trombone players of his time, it is perhaps strange that his style was taken over by little fellow trombonists. He week than the traditional dixieland style of play, he played often in his solos in the higher registers of his instrument and used rougher sounds and liptrillers.

He performed with various orchestras and bands not only in America, but also often visited other parts of the world such as EuropeJapan and Southeast Asia. In addition to playing the trombone, he could also fine singing and Teagarden in several movies. In January 1964, Jack Teagarden found dead in his hotel room in New Orleans, he was found to have died from a pneumonia.
