Klaatu was a Canadian progressive rock band from the 1970s, named after the eponymous alien creature from the movie The Day The Earth Stood Still. The band scored several hits, including "California Jam" (1974), "Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft" (1977), "A Routine Day" (1979) and "Knee Deep In Love" (1980).
