Lenny Kravitz was born in New York, the son of a Ukrainian-Jewish father and a West Indian-American mother. He is a journalist, she is actress.

In addition to singer is Kravitz also actor. He played in the film Precious (2009), which won two Oscars. He also plays in the first and second part of The Hunger Games (2012, 2013), he plays the role of Cinna, the stylist of Katniss. He also has a role as a Butler in the White House and friend of Cecile Gaines in the film The Butler (2013).

Kravitz from 1987 to 1993 was married to actress Lisa Bonet. They have a daughter, Zoë Kravitz, who is also an actress.

On 24 april 2014 announced Kravitz his new album that will be called to come Strut . The release date was on 23 september 2014.
