The Liberty Bell March is an American military Marchcomposed by John Philip Sousa in 1893. The March also has outside the United States a certain notoriety because he served as theme song of the satirical British television show Monty Python's Flying Circus. Originally the mars have called The devils deputy elected from commercial considerations, but Sousa the March after one of the most important symbols from the American war of independence: the Liberty Bell .

The United States Marine Band played the Liberty Bell March during the inaugurations of the Presidents Clinton (1993) and George w. Bush (2005). The mars is among other recognizable by the use of tubular bells, which the sound of the Liberty Bell should imitate.

The Liberty Bell March was played by the guard at Buckingham Palace, until the number was associated with Monty Python so much that another March was chosen.
