ReviewEdit

This disc is so essential. It's live DEVO taken from three shows. One right before they got signed by Warner Brothers and Virgin, one about a year before that, and one of the really early, confrontational shows (where they opened for Sun Ra, who, by the time DEVO were done, played to an audience of DEVO and DEVO's friends). Sound quality is surprisingly decent for stuff that's so old and self-recorded, but don't expect, say, the best thing in the world, either. It's very listenable, though. One problem, though -- Ryko did some weird things with the track index. Jocko Homo is on the same track as Beulah, and there's an extra track of crowdnoise/DEVO harassing the crowd at the end. Also, Timing X isn't listed/separated as being performed right before "Soo Bawlz", but that's kinda minor. Anyway, though, problems aside, I adore this disc. This is one of the DEVO must-haves. - Rev. Syung Myung Me
