Louise Redknapp-Nurding (London4 november 1974) is an English singer. In the 90 's she made as the only white member of British r & b group Eternal, but they went solo after a few years on.

[hide]*1 Biography

Nurding grew up in her native London. She had a carefree youth. Louise went as a teenager to the to the Italia ContiAcademy, where she met and became friends with Kéllé Bryan was. The girls were asked In 1992 to join a new English girl group: Eternal. Louise and Kéllé agreed, as singing and dancing their passions were. Producers suggested the girls for to the Christian sisters Easther and Vernie Bennett, had learned that singing in a church choir. The Quartet was under the care taken by record label EMI Music and Eternal then took their first album Always & Forever , which appeared in november 1993 . Their first single was Stay and achieved the 4th place of the British Top 40. The album achieved double platinum status and was the first album by a British girl group, which in the history of about 1 million copies were sold. The subsequent singles Save Our LoveJust A Step From HeavenOh Baby I. .. and Crazy all resulted in successful top 20 hits in the UK singles chart, which was unique at that time. Also outside of their home country it went the girls for the wind.

Solo Career[Edit]Edit

Yet it was Louise not happy in the band. She had constantly homesick for friends and family at home and missed tremendously when Eternal on tour. But that was not the only one. As singer had Louise strongly feel that they are not good enough could develop in the band. All lead vocals by Easther was the one who always the Eternal-tracks for her account should take. Kéllé and Louise had to destroy them, and thereby, do it with small solo pieces and a lot of background vocals. Louise left Eternal In June 1995 for what it was. There were rumors that Louise by the label of the band was dumped to the chances of a breakthrough in America (where the Group received criticism because it is one blank member (Louise) had) enlarge. The management of the band, however, denied that this was the case.

Ironically left Robbie Williams boyband Take That in the same period. That she was applying for a solo career, held the singer initially hidden from the media. After her departure they pulled a little while back. In that time they spent paying attention to her family and friends, and set out to find himself as a person. In the fall of 1995, she signed a solo deal with EMI Music. Her first single was released in October called Light Of My Life.Critics saw it as a good choice to Louise with a song like this to launch as a singer. Initially, it is expected that the singer with a poppy up-tempo song would arrive. Louise thought so myself though. But Light Of My Lifewas well edited (including through the contribution of a band) that they had peace with it. The song reached the 8th place in the British charts.

A second single followed in early 1996: In Walked Love. Unfortunately, this number is not grasped by the public and it did not come higher than no. 17 in the charts of England. One began to wonder if Louise may or may not be taken seriously as a solo artist could. In May of that year followed the single Naked. This sexy-like pop song was accompanied by a sensual video clip. Both with the clip as with the song Louise surprised friend and foe. Doubts as to whether they would fail as a singer were then completely disappeared. The single reached # 5 in the UK Top 40. Shortly after the release of the single, "the long-awaited solo debut album, which also bore the name Naked . It sold well in England and was awarded with Platinum. In the rest of Europe, however, little did the plate. The sales in England was well promoted by the subsequent singles:Undivided Love (# 5) and One Kiss From Heaven (# 9).

Woman In Me[Edit]Edit

After the success of Naked Louise returned back to the studio for the preparation of a completely new album. The new project came In november 1997 under the title Woman In Me out. Was the first album by critics still coldly received, with the new album earned the singer good reviews. Many saw Woman In Me as a diverse pop album and it seemed as if Louise had found her own style. The album won the 5th place in England, and became 2 x Platinum with differentiated. The first single from the album Arms Around The World debuted at no. 4 in the English charts and was Louise's most successful single until then. Just before Christmas that year he released the disco-like Let's Go Round Again, originally a song by The Average White Band. Although it only reached the 10th place in the charts, it was number (with 600,000 copies) though Louise's best selling single.

In 1998 the singer graced the covers of many British magazines and she was by the readers of the magazine FHM voted The Sexiest Woman In The World. For all her success went on a concert tour of England Louise therefore. The ' Louise Soft and Gentle No Sweat Tour ' ' brought her along several large sold-out concert halls in the country. Woman In Me 's 1 million units were sold in England. The album fared even better thanBefore The Rain, the third album by Eternal which also appeared that year. During the tour appeared the 3rd single "All That Matters. The choice of the management of Louise to this song as a single release did not fall at all equally well. Fans prefer the saw tracks Shut Up & Kiss Me on single Woman In Me and come true. In their eyes were that the best songs on the album. All That Matters had in terms of sound better on Louise's first album due. Maybe that is the reason why the single not higher then entered the 11th place.

Elbow Beach[Edit]Edit

After all the success of 1999 Woman In Me was a year in which Louise spent the most time outside the spotlight. On Elbow Beach in Bermuda, she appeared in married life partner with football player Jamie Redknapp, where they already several years together was. The singer began after her honeymoon with the realization of a new album. There she did a year over thick. The cd was released in mid-2000 under the title Elbow Beach, named after the location where Louise and Jamie got married. The album was Louise's most personal work until then and had a r & b/Funky-like sound. The first single 2 Faced obtained the 3rd place in England and is, to date, her biggest hit ever. Despite the high expectations surrounding the new album, it came in the charts is not higher than the 12th place. In order to deliver a better sales, the cd, the song was Beautiful Inside (a favorite of many fans) released as a single. Unfortunately it did not help. The number did not come higher than # 13 and the album then fell quickly from the album list. EMI Music began to worry. The disappointing success of Elbow Beach could cost a lot of money. It seemed as if Louise much of her audience was lost sight of.

Changing Faces[Edit]Edit

Louise's record deal came after this period of 5 albums (Always & Forever Eternal counted) almost to an end. EMI Music wondered whether it was wise to record an entirely new album Let Louise. The sale of Elbow Beach was huge against cases and one didn't know if they would save it with a whole new cd. The label suggested Louise for choosing to collect album, or they had to make an album that would have a lot in common in terms of sound and style of Woman In Me, what I most was appreciated by the public. The singer wanted the last not. That way she could not well develop as artist. For that reason also appeared then end up greatest hits album under the name Changing Faces-The Best Of Louise. For the cd took the singer 3 new songs, "Stuck In The Middle of which was released as a single. It holds the 4th place. The album reached # 9 and was distinguished with gold.

Because of the success around to Changing Faces Louise decided for the second time to do a tour of England. Instead of large rooms that she visited with her previous tour, wanted the singer this time what action in more intimate rooms. The ' Changing Faces ' Tour was regarded as a success. All 36 dates were quickly sold out. Hereinafter referred to as the singer left EMI Music, which meant she was free to go where they wanted.Later it became clear that EMI was made that Louise lost her power as an artist was. The singer signed a new record deal In 2002 with Positive Records. In 2003 there appeared a new single with double A-side:Pandora's Kiss/Don't Give Up. It climbed to the 5th place of the British charts. A whole new album, however, was not released because of the pregnancy Redknapp's's first child. After her singing career on the back burner come to be. The last years Redknapp are mainly concerned with motherhood and presentation-jobs on British television.

Nurding married in 1998 with footballer Jamie Redknapp and Louise Redknappband. They gave birth to their son William Charley in 2004. Their second child was born In november 2008, son Beau Henry.

EMI Music in 2000 had plans to Louise in America as an artist to launch. Beautiful Inside would appear there as first single, but due to the disappointing sales of the album Elbow Beach, isn't that continued.
