Marilyn Manson is an American shock rock bandBrian Warner, the lead singer of this band also uses the pseudonym Marilyn Manson.

[1][2]Marilyn Manson Rock am Ring on

In 1989 Brian Hugh Warner became friends with guitarist and Scott Mitchell, outcast of the society and they decided to form a band. Daisy Berkowitz took Mitchell as the new name. Brian Warner also found a new name, Marilyn Manson, a name which was built from Marilyn Monroeand Charles Manson, two "icons" from the 1950 's, one was a beautiful photo model, the other was a rapist/murders/Scheduler thefts.

Now Brad Stewart, who themselves were also Gidget Gein mentioned (bassist) and Stephen Gregory Bier Jr.., aka "Madonna Wayne Gacy" or simply "Pogo" (keyboards) included in the group. They decided to their band ' Marilyn Manson and the spooky kids ', and the "mission" of the Group was to overwrite the limits of censorship. The group released cassette tapes from own production and dissemination of the name happened mostly thanks to the homemade flyers that Manson went handing out at the entrance to concerts. "Marilyn Manson and the spooky kids" often performed on and in the beginning had Manson was suffering from nervousness. Manson did to self-harm on stage. The Group had no drummer at that time and they replaced this simply by a drum machine. A manager heard about the group, and he went to watch one of their concerts. He thought it was bad and thought he would get such things never sold, but still he wanted to try it. The only condition was that the guys were looking for a drummer. Sara Lee Lucas was appointed as drummer for the group. The Group had a manager now, but no label, and no label or record company wanted to give them a chance.

By chance, Trent ReznorNine Inch Nails 's founder and a friend of Manson, just then a private label, called "Nothing Records", and he decided to give the band a chance. This led to a conflict with Reznors record company, but Reznor held firm; Manson came or he (Reznor) went. And the record company could not afford to lose Nine Inch Nails , because this group had already a reasonable "star status". So now Marilyn Manson also had a label, and with the new bassist Jeordie White, alias Twiggy Ramirez, who replaced Gidget Gein (due to his drug addiction) could the band embark on her big break.

And this came up there too, because almost all Manson albums that followed were sold millions of times.

There were still a lot of adjustments done within the Group; Daisy was put from the Group and replaced by Zim-Zum, and this in turn by John 5. Then disappeared also Twiggy from the Group and was replaced by Tim Skold, who also produced from The album The Golden Age of Grotesque undertook. Now put out was John 5. Meanwhile, Twiggy will be back in the band.

The relationship with Reznor has been on the back burner for some time, but is currently back in working order, witnesses the play along by Reznor during some live performances and the appearance of Manson in the Nine Inch Nails-clip "Starfuckers, Inc."

By his image and texts, is Manson often accused of inciting violence. When it became apparent that the two guys of the Columbineincident to Rammstein listened, thought the media that this kind of was like Marilyn Manson (since they didn't know Rammstein ), and that this would have formed the basis for their aggression. In the film "Bowling for Columbine" by Michael Moore appears to tell his vision on the whole Manson: Manson sees himself as Messenger that shows how going on in the world and not as abettor to violence. Columbine-perpetrators not listened to Marilyn Manson.

Manson has in the meantime been a "best of" cd in the racks, and wrote several books including a biography. Further he also sells his art works (paintings) and he is still not going to stop. In May 2009 The album The High End of Low. Although the album was well received by the fans, it was a commercial flop. His contract with Interscope also came to an end, and the cooperation between the two sides came to an end. Meanwhile, Marilyn Manson signed a contract at the British Cooking Vinyl, including Manson now has his own label, Hell, etc has. Meanwhile, the band embarked on a new album called Born Villain, that around may 2012 must come true. In an interview with Eric Blair told Twiggy that the new album almost finished and that it was to compare with a punk version of Mechanical Animals. Mid-February 2011 Ginger Fish after 15 years left the group to focus on other projects. He currently plays for Rob Zombie. Meanwhile, Chris Vrenna, who also took over as drummer, Fish left the band.

Currently the band is working on their 13th tour, called the "Hey Cruel World tour". The (expected to be temporary) drummer Jason Sutter is during this tour. [1there is no replacement for the keyboard player; during the live performance uses samples.
