Master of Puppets is a studio album by Metallica. It was released on March 3, 1986 under the label Elektra. The album recieved great overall ratings by magazines and metal fans. It is widely known as one of the greatest thrash metal albums of all time. This was also the last album with bassist Cliff Burton after he was brutally killed in a bus accident in Sweden in 1986.
