I was looking at the forums and I saw that a user said that you could add Music Wikia's to the music template! So will you please put the Cam Monroe Wiki on there please? It's still under construction though. I'm adding new stuff daily.
Hello! A few weeks ago I requested for a wiki, called Grimes Wiki to be featured, on the Forums (request can be found here). I've been waiting for a response and so far I've only got one saying that I should contact an admin to get them to notice the request, which I did and was told I should instead contact a member of staff who runs the Music Hub, so I can get featured on the Main page which is what I want (similarly to how other music wikis have been previously featured, like this)
I am contacting you as opposed to BertH (who I was told is the other person who runs the Music Hub) since you're the one who has edited most recently.
Thank you so much for your message! I will get it posted today, really nice work on that community.
I'm so sorry I missed your message on the forums.
Also, FYI, we are phasing out the mainpage as a hub and will be returning it to the Music Wiki with a more standard homepage, but for now we are continuing to update the hub as before. But stay tuned for some changes.
Thanks again, and very happy to see Grimes on Wikia, love her!
A couple hours ago, I was blocked on the Survivor Wiki, and I have no idea why. They said it was because I "released spoilers", but I didn't release any spoilers at all. If possible, could you please unblock me, or talk to the person who blocked me? You're the only person that I can contact right now. Thank you!
i'm asking for the function of using files from Wikimedia commons. It's still not activated. This function would make the MusicHub more attractive. I've started to create articles on single releases and so i always put a chart table in it. This chart tables includes the flag of the countries the song have been charted. here's an example what i mean. And also... Wikimedia commons also inlcude images of musicians, groups and some cover artworks.
So if you could activate InstantCommons, that would be great :)
I don't know how to do this, only Wikia staff can activate this by application.
Hello! We're going to hold off on InstantCommons for the moment.
I want to acknowledge that there has not been very much communication to you and Corey about the ultimate vision for this "hub with content" project. Alwaysmore2hear and I will be talking next week and will have some updates for you guys soon.
If we want to arrange a meeting in Chat, what time of day is best for you, Saviour? Please include a time zone in your answer so we can be sure for planning.
For now, we would like to renew focus on the original first project, which was to add links to standalone wikias, on the music hub pages about specific artists. Alwaysmore2hear is creating an updated list and a better way to track progress and make notes. We would like to use a Google doc. Do you have a Gmail address? Just answer yes or no (don't post your email address in a reply). We'll follow up accordingly.
For now, let's keep that as the focus (linking to other music-related wikias), instead of further building out the "encyclopedia" content here.
Also, regarding Irgendwas bleibt, I think this is another example of content that's best for the German Music Wiki (and Commons is enabled there). I see that the article is in English, but the subject is a German band whose music has German lyrics and whose music charts in German-speaking countries.
Hey KC! No, this is great! I think though that the pages we'd want to link to would be ones one the Zedd Community itself, whether it is a blog post, forum posting or an article page. We don't really want to link outside of Wikia, So I'll go ahead and feature the ID Demo v5 forum post.
Sound good! Thanks again!
We've enabled article comments now, the same as on the other hubs.
Let us know if that works for you. I would also encourage you to create (or repurpose) a Forum board for discussions about editing and specific articles. I know it's less directly connected to the specific article if you talk there, but having them all in one place might encourage more discussions about content improvement from the more casual users and readers.
P.S. We've had some problems with user run giveaways in the past with folks never getting what they've won. Not at all saying that will happen here, but just to make sure it's out there, you will be 100% responsible for everything, including shipping coasts, especially if someone overseas wins. If you don't want to worry about that make sure you mention who is elligible to win in the intro section. We also recommend that you make logging in being a rule. Here's a link to a giveaway we did over at the Simpsons wikia if you wanted to see what the rules were.
