A featured article should represent the best work from this Wiki. We launch this feature back in November 2005, but went on hiatus after May 2006 due to inactivity, albeit there is a one-day revival sometime in 2008. Now, we decide to revive this feature, and expected to be applied to the home page in the near future, so stay tuned.

You may notice that there are some articles that have been tagged AlumniFeatured, this means the article has been featured under the old system, which was applied in between 2006 and 2008, this also applied to those nominees with unknown status. Starting in March 2022, we would re-use the Featured tag while launching our brand new featured article system.

Requirements

A Featured article must:

  1. ...adhere the manual of style stated and all other policies
  2. ...be well-written and comprehensive
  3. ...not be tagged with improvement-related tags (i.e.: stub, image needed etc.)
  4. ...have no redlinks
  5. ...include reasonable number of sources
  6. ...provide a meaningful introduction that can summarize the topic
  7. ...be properly titled
  8. ...not have a history of violating the guidelines (i.e.: vandalism)

How to nominate?

Anyone can write a featured article, and anyone can nominate one! To nominate an article, it's simple, go to Music:Featured content/Nominate and nominate it. Make sure that the targeted article meet the above requirements.
