Nazareth is a Scottish rock band that in 1976 five weeks (among others) led the Dutch Top 40 with the song Love Hurts, a cover of The Everly Brothers.

History[Edit]Edit

Nazareth was founded in 1968 and originally consisted of Dan McCafferty (vocals), Manny Charlton (guitarist), Pete Agnew (bassist) and Darrell Sweet (drummer). The band existed ten years in this composition, until 1978, when guitarist was the fifth band member Will Cleminson . Since then changed the composition as an added regularly by both departing members, although the founders long time part remained part of the group.Nazareth Pinkpop 1975 Netherlands visited during.
