Nevermind Nirvana is an album by the band from Seattle that was released on 24 september 1991 and meant the breakthrough for the band. The best known song on the album was "Smells like teen spirit, leading to a world hit grew. Also In Bloom, Come as You Are and Lithium were hits. It was the second album of the group, afterBleach from 1989.

Before Nirvana was one of the many obscure groups from Seattle, then they were a commercial high flyer. Not only this, they also changed the entire music landscape.After the 1980s were dominated by hairmetal and electropop, was partly thanks to the music more rockgeoriënteerd Nevermind. Along with other Seattle grunge bandssuch as Pearl Jam and Alice In Chains, they changed the face of the commercial music completely. They brought the underground up, as it were.
