Nils Lofgren (ChicagoJune 21, 1951) is an American rock musician, multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter.

Lofgren was born of Swedish – Italian parents. He learned to play accordion at the age of five. He Later studied classical music and jazz, which he mainly on guitar and piano.

At the age of 17 years was Lofgren member of Crazy Horse Neil Youngs band and he played along on his legendary albums After the Gold Rush (1970) and tonight's the Night(1975). Meanwhile, he worked with his own band Grin. His fame grew rapidly and early 1975 he was even in the picture to Mick Taylor on to follow when the Rolling Stones.When that went he started a solo career.

In the second half of the 1970s, Lofgren best known for his live performances, where he regularly flips on the trampoline at best gave. His first solo album (Nils Lofgren, 1975) was an immediate international success.With Shine silentlyI came to dance and Keith do not go , he scored modest hits.

After its popularity waned in the early 1980s was what Lofgren in 1984 Member of Bruce Springsteens E Street Band, replacing Steven Van Zandt. In 1989, he joined the band after five busy years back and started again with solo projects. He also went to work again as guidance musician of other pop stars, such as Springsteens wife Patti ScialfaRingo Starr's All Starr Band, Neil Young and Springsteen again later again.

In 2008, Lofgren a replacement hip.
