Oh Lonesome Me is a Country song written and first recorded by Don Gibson in 1958, music producer Chet Atkinsat the time. The song was eight weeks at number 1 on the Country charts, but "but" the seventh place in the Billboard Hot 100. The b-side of the song was "I Can't Stop Loving You .

The song was later covered by several artists, including Johnny CashTrini LopezAnn-MargretNeil Youngm. WardThe Walkers and Sammy Davis Jr.

Craig Douglas had with this number one civilized success in the United Kingdom in 1962. It allowed 12 weeks noted with 15 as the highest listing.

In Netherlands had Nancy Sinatra Lee Hazlewood with this number with a small success in 1968. It was a double A-side of Some velvet morning. The picture took out the tipparade of the Dutch Top 40, but it did not come.
