ReviewEdit

Parchman Farm has one of the best biographies I have ever read. It starts with the description: “They are like a shark riding on top of an elephant, just stomping and chomping everything in sight.” Eric Shea (vocals/harmonica) sounds like a reincarnated Ronnie Van Sant and gets extremely pissed off when you name drop is former band Mover (so I won't). Guitar slinger Allyson Baker is nicknamed “the Jewge,” because she looks and acts like a Jewish version of Ted Nugent. Bassist Carson Binks doesn’t believe in bathing or hygiene and openly admits “I will someday kill the president of America.” And finally, drummer Chris Labreche is on a constant acid trip and worships Grand Funk Railroad drummer Don Brewer. If that’s not a good enough sell, the music is the best old school, southern rock and roll band I have heard in a long time. Fuck Kings of Leon, Parchman Farm is what you need to be listening to.
