[edit] Genre Description
A blanket term given to groups that often use a bit more experimental sounds and are often primarily (though not exclusively) instrumental. Most Post-Rock acts have rebelled against the term, as it isn't very descriptive; many bands lumped in as Post-Rock aren't really that similar, and especially when it's expanded to include genres like shoegaze or other experimental forms of rock music. It's not a terribly useful term, but some folks like it anyway.
