"#PRAYforBOSTON" is a song by American hip-hop artist b-Rabbit which was released as the third official single off of Trials & Tribulations on June 26, 2013. The song was written as a memorial anthem to victims of the Boston Marathon bombings .

On April 15, 2013, two pressure cooker bombs exploded at the Boston Marathon killing 3 people and injuring 264 others. The FBI began an investigation and released photographs and surveillance video of two suspects on April 18. An unprecedented manhunt then ensued on April 19 which finally led to the arrest of one of the suspects.

A few days following the aftermath of the manhunt, b-Rabbit began writing "#PRAYforBOSTON" due to his feelings about America and patriotism changing towards a more positive viewpoint. The song took him just over a week to write after obtaining the instrumental from Cipher. Recording was postponed due to his promotions of "Story of a Lonely Guy" which at the time was gaining him more recognition as a performer.

The song was chosen as the third single of Trials & Tribulations thanks to a fan vote hosted on b-Rabbit's officialFacebook pageand was released in conjunction with Kindness for Boston, an event of random kindness being hosted by Melissa Garzon in Boston, Massachusetts. This was the first single from b-Rabbit not released for free and was sold for $1.29 with proceeds being donated to One Fund Boston.

The official music video teaser was uploaded on YouTube on June 17, 2013 with the full music video being added at midnight on June 26, 2013. It features footage from the bombing as well as President Obama speaking and various news clips.

Critical ReceptionEdit

"#PRAYforBOSTON" was mostly met with mixed to positive reviews after being uploaded to Whoman Beenz had this to say about the song:

"In a word, awesome. I have no words for your song because it speaks for itself. This song is not for reviewing but for listening, also it provokes thought and reminds us the terrorism affects us all and should be stopped with whatever means possible. This is not just a song but a statement, and should be heard by all Americans."

User zz3k39 had this to say:

"I didn't really enjoy this much, however, I am not much of a rap person. Although it is not really rap, maybe more of a narrative with a combination of presidential dialog and background music. I didn't really enjoy it much however I did get the message. This song does employ a very thoughtful message."
