A band put together by two different talent agencies in 1995, Puffy AmiYumi (known originally as Puffy, though Sean Combs threatened to sue if they used the name in the US, despite never using the name "Puffy" for any release, and that Puffy had been using it for longer) were hugely popular in Japan, with a series of hit singles and a popular television variety show. That show ended in 2002, and they have been focusing more attention on the US, and have done the theme for Teen Titans on Cartoon Network, and have their own TV show on the cable channel (though it doesn't seem to have much to do with the band aside from the live-action wraparounds).
