History[Edit]Edit

The core of the Group was formed by the three singing sisters Toni, Marianne and Betty Kowalczyk. They performed early 1970s on as Sweet Reaction. They were discovered by their guitar teacher Werner Theunissen, who also wrote the most hits for the group. Pussycat in 1975 had a worldwide hit with the song Mississippi. Even in the British Charts they came on the first (August 1976) and with Smile on the 24th place (december 1976). Other famous hits were Georgie and My broken Souvenirs.

After the success of Mississippi earned Pussycat less hits and in 1985, the Group raised. Toni Walker then started a solo career which resulted in the albums Privilege (1985), Working Girl (1987), New Words To An Old Lovesong (1989), Fantastic Stories (2006) and duets albums with Benny Neyman (American Duets, 1999) and Daniel Rae Costello (Worlds United, 2008).

Werner Theunissen died in 2010 in the United Kingdom due to heart failure.
