Ralf Bendix, born as Karl Heinz Schwab (Dortmund16 August 1924) is a former German singer and producer. He is best known for his hit Babysitter-Boogie.

Biography[Edit]Edit

Ralf Bendix was on 16 August 1924 as Karl Heinz Schwab born in Dortmund. He has both the study done as economy rights , which he financed by to act as a jazz guitarist. In 1952 he received his doctorate in economics even. In addition, he was Director of the Düsseldorf Department of Trans World Airlines airline.

Ralf won a talent show In 1955 and in 1956 he broke through in Germany with the # 2-hit Sie hieß Mary-Anne. He made especially German-speaking Italian and covers of popular American songs. His Babysitter-Boogie from 1961 was his only German # 1-hit in Netherlands and this was his only hit. Here it came to # 4 in april 1961. The song was a cover of the American Buzz Clifford, who has spoken up under the title Baby sittin' boogie. Bendix recorded the song together with those little Elisabeth, the daughter of his producer Hans Bertram. The contribution of Elisabeth existed purely from what gibberish, laughter and weeping.

In 1965 he discovered Heino, who became one of the most popular schlager singers in Germany would be. Ralf was also his producer for 20 years, among other things also in his hit La Montanara. Nowadays he has withdrawn from the music world and he has a house in Monaco and Florida.
