Roger Whittaker (Nairobi (Kenya), 22 March, 1936) is a British singer and songwriter who has sold more than 55 million records worldwide. Whittaker stands next to his voice known for his flute talents, which are reflected in fully whistled songs like Mexican Whistler and Irish Whistler.

Songs from his repertoire include Steel One (1962), Durham Town (1969), The Last Farewell (1971), River Lady (1981), Love You Because (1983). The Last Farewell in the early 1970s was his biggest hit in both the United Kingdom and the United States the number was high in the charts and plates with The Last Farewell out went a total of more than 10 million times worldwide over the counter.
