Royal Blood is a British rock duo band formed in Brighton in 2013. The band's sound is reminiscent and rooted in modern garage rock and blues rock, while frequently being referred to as similar to bands like The White Stripes and The Black Keys.
The duo rock band was formed in Brighton in 2013, comprising of friends Mike Kerr (vocals, bass) and Benji Talent (drums). During the summer of 2013, Arctic Monkey's drummer (Matt Helders), was seen wearing a shirt supporting the band (before the release of their first single) during their Glastonbury concert in July. On November 11, 2013, the duo released their debut single, "Out of the Black". Reviews revolving around the single have all been extremely positive. Another release from the duo remains unknown, as the only other known song is "Come On Over" (a b-side to "Out of the Black").
In November 2013 it was announced that Royal Blood would be supporting Arctic Monkey's for two Finsbury Park shows in May 2014.
