Band Biography[]
A false band by Eric Idle (who didn't actually play in the group) and Neil Innes (who wrote all the songs, sang and did play) to parody the history of the Beatles. They ended up having a bit of a cult following, due to the quality of Neil Innes' music and even released a second record, though it came about 20 years later, to tie in with the Beatles Anthology series. Some of the Rutles songs were Neil Innes solo songs as well.
