Genesis[Edit]Edit

Jones at the age of 15 showed much interest in the dark side of UK garage, and decided to get busy to go with music. He learned a lot from his brother, Hijak, who at the time was still part of the Internatty Crew, a then group of jungle lovers including Grooverider sat. Jones also came Via Hijak in contact with Benga, both were they interested in making music and became good friends who have had much influence on each other and always have. Soon afterwards he appeared as a small record store job in Croydonse Big Apple Records, where he came into contact with several people who exhibit the same musical interests. So he met, among others, GlennHatcha and two main DJs, but he also met Coki and Mala of Digital Mystikz and Loefah. Especially the latter have had a great influence on him, it was under their influence that got more feeling for melody and Skream color in his productions.

Hatcha turned out to be very interested in the work of the young Skream and Digital Mystikz, and decided to turn their productions. The tracks of them made a lot of impression on the audience of the now legendary event FWD >> in ShoreditchUnited Kingdom. Because >> was visited by more famous people when all FWD, spread the sound of the then fledgling dubstep soon.

Contemporary[Edit]Edit

Since 2006 is one of the most esteemed producers and DJs Skream. He already has numerous performances in Europe, but also in the United States and Asia. Despite the busy schedule he still remains very active as a producer, from interviews even shows that he still has thousands of unfinished tracks. He has released several tracks as producer on various labels like TectonikTempa and Big Apple Media but also many others. It was mainly Midnight Request Line, released on Tempa, that his name was really put on a map.

Skream in 2009 obtained a position in the English Top 10 by his remix of the song "In for the kill" by La Roux.
