One of the more influential bands from Olympia, WA, Sleater-Kinney (named after a road in Lacey, WA where they used to practice) is often rolled in with the riot grrrl movement. They have a quite devoted following and all of the members have roles in other side-project bands as well. They announced the end of the band in mid-2006.
