Stiff Little Fingers is a founded in 1977 in Northern Ireland Belfast punk band. The band started as a school band called "Highway Star" (named after a Deep Purple-number), which covers rock, until the members discovered the punk . The Group changed the name to Stiff Little Fingers, to a single by punk band The Vibrators from 1976.

Stiff Little Fingers took in the first occupation four albums on. the first album went mainly on the war in Northern Ireland with sharp, antimilitarist texts in songs likeAlternative Ulster and Gotta Getaway. Afterwards it was also widened and the texts went on other topics. The band went after six years apart but came back together in1987 and went back into the studio in the early 1990s also. Despite many line-up (singer Jake Burns is the only remaining band member from the original line-up), the band has been touring and still plays.
