Album: This One's For The Fellows

Appears On (Mixes): Past The Barber and Gymnasium

Song Notes: Past The Barber and Gymnasium: Speaking of The Young Fresh Fellows, this from the tribute album, This One's For The Fellows. This is one of Kurt Bloch's songs from This One's For The Ladies, covered by Visqueen, which featured (though she left the band earlier this year) Kim Warnick of Kurt's other band, The Fastbacks, on bass. Kim still plays on this recording, although she's been replaced by Ronnie Barnett from The Muffs live (and on the next record). They are pretty awesome live, and their records are pretty great too. And, hey, I really dig their Home Taping Is Killing Music shirt. - Rev. Syung Myung Me

As I Listen Review: This is another one of those songs I get stuck in my head all the time. Oooh. I didn't really like Rachel's vocals at the show when she was with the Black Panties, but on this, she's singing pretty well. I'm actually digging this one pretty well. It's a really straightforward arrangement. I'm not sure who this reminds me of, but someone. I am tempted to say Anna Waronker a little bit, but it's not like really A Lot like her, so... yeah. Anyway, though, this is pretty keen. - Rev. Syung Myung Me
