1998-2001-One Touch: original composition[Edit]Edit

Keisha Buchanan (september 30, 1984) and Mutya Buena (21 may 1985) were already since their childhood in London at the age of 13 and friends met Siobhan Donaghy(14 June 1984) at a party. Buchanan's family comes from Jamaica, while those of Buena comes from the Philippines . The trio decide to form a group in 1998. London Records decision, when the girls are 14, the group to offer a contract and let Cameron McVey, famous for his work for All Saints, develop an album.

The first single Overload in Netherlands reached number 14. The Group wrote to a large extent on the album One Touch, which features the hit Run for cover is on. Despite the reasonable hits on the album One Touch , sold were not as good as London Records had hoped, and in 2001 the band was fired. Siobhan Donaghy left the band in 2001 during the tour. Her choice had to do with depression and quarrels within the group. Later she decided to start a career as a solo artist. Siobhan Donaghy's acclaimed solo album Revolution In Me, released on London Records, did not have the same success as the previous plate of the Sugababes, and reached even in England not the Album Top 100. She was also dismissed by London Records. In October 2005, however, they got a new contract with Parlophone Records. Her second album "Ghosts" was released in January 2007, her singles were not a great success. In the summer of 2007 she played in the musical "Rent". Currently, we have Keisha, Mutya and Siobhán are reunited when pop group under the name Mutya Keisha Siobhan, abbreviated MKS. In september 2013, released their first single "Flatline" and start 2014 follows a new album.

Heidi Range (23 May 1983) replaces Donaghy, when the Group new contract signs with Island Records. Their first single on the new label was a Freak like meBastard Popnumber, created by producer Richard X, in which a sample of Are friends electric? by Gary Numan's Tubeway army Army is mixed with the vocals of Adina Howard's Freak like me.

The song meant in England a breakthrough for the group, because it was their first number-one single there. In Netherlands, the only number 23 as the highest position, and was not even as successful as their first single Overload. Their next single for Island Records, Round round, produced by Xenomania, was another number one hit in England, and became their first big hit in Netherlands. It won the second place and was seven weeks in the Top 10.

With the second album by the Sugababes, Angels with Dirty Faces, debuts in the Album Top 100 in the Netherlands group. Predecessor never knew the album One Touch list, but they achieve with their second album number 12. The third single from the album, Stronger, arrives in Netherlands though less high (number 5) than Round round, but remains longer hang in the charts, and sells so better. The title track of the album, Angels with dirty faces, is the soundtrack to The Powerpuff Girls Movie. The fourth single, which Shapea hefty sample of Stings classic Shape of my heart contains the beginning of 2003, reached number 7.

2003-2005-Three: the success continues[Edit]Edit

The third album of the Group at the end of 2003, Three, is released. The first single Hole in the head, once again a Xenomania-production, achieves second place in Netherlands. The second single "Too lost in you, written by Diane Warren, was taken from the soundtrack to the film Love Actually. The third single In the middle means the Dutch Top 40 and again retrieves the sixth Top 10 hit in a row for the group. It is also the last, because the fourth and final single, the ballad of Three Caught in a moment knows only number 30 in Netherlands.
